Circa 1954

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 of an onion
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp of flour
  • celery salt
  • 2 tbsp of curry powder
  • 1 tbsp of bitters
  • 1 cup of scalded milk

Method:

Cook onion in the butter for 5 mins, remove. Add flour, salt, pepper, curry and bitters. Then add the milk. Stir until thickened.
