Recipe
Recipe type and/or recipe tags: Sauce
Number of servings:
Ingredients:
- 6 egg yolks
- 1 tbs of butter
- 1 tbs of mustard
- 2 tbs of fine sugar
- 1 cup of white wine vinegar
- 1/2 tsp of slat
- Juice of a lemon
Method:
A double boiler is the ideal, but if like most of the planet you don't have one, just use a small steel shallow pan placed on top a small sauce pan with about 2 or 3 inches of simmering water in it.
Beat the yolks well and add to the top pan along with everything above except the lemon. Keep beating the mixture until its become a nice consistency. Then add the lemon juice. when thick remove from heat and let cool.
Finally mix in one cup of whipped cream and serve on shredded cabbage.
