Recipe
Recipe tags': potatoes mash side
Serves: 3
Ingredients: (use bullet points below)
- 4 Large Idaho Yukons
- warm milk
- 4 tbsp butter
- salt
Method:
Bring a large pot to boil, add evenly chopped potatoes. Bring back to boil and cook until they fall off a fork. I like to place a small ceramic jug with a few tablespoons of milk in on top of the potatoes for a minute or two. Adding warm milk makes the difference.
Once the potatoes are done, drain, then put back on hot stove, with heat very low, and add the butter, allow it to melt at the bottom of the pan. Salt, then mix and add the milk to desired consistency.
Serve with chopped chives.
